Grey tephroite vein with imbedded franklinite, zincite in gneissic
Franklin ore. This specimen is what's known to local collectors as
a 'wobbler', a piece that exhibits an optical illusion when rocked
front to back where the nonfluorescent vein appears to fall out of
the rock. Strange!

The hardystonite is altering into esperite along minute fractures
resulting in a 'wispy' look to the esperite. The strong fluorescence
of the esperite overpowers the hardystonite fluorescence to the
extent that the hardystonite is difficult to see
