NORBERGITE

Crystals of a humite group mineral in marble with
graphite. This material is locally called 'norbergite'
but it may be chondrodite because the crystals ap-
pear to be monoclinic. Good brownish-orange fluor-
escence under shortwave UV.
Specimen size - approx. 9.5 cm. X 6.3 cm. X 4.2 cm.

Crude, black ilmenite crystals found loose in the
soil at a locale noted for large spinel crystals. The
ilmenite was also seen at this locality in marble with
chondrodite, phlogopite, spinel, and forsterite.
