  Massive margarosanite, fluorescent bright

   blue under short wave UV, at the contact

   between pink grossular and hyalophane

   feldspar with yellow-brown andradite.

 PREHNITE, XONOTLITE

 Franklin, Sussex County, NJ, USA

 A view of FL380 showing a vein of fluorescent

 prehnite and xonotlite on hancockite. Note that

 the prehnite has a botryoidal relief common to

 prehnite from other localities but unusual at

 Franklin. A vein of clinohedrite occurs on the

 reverse side of this piece.

 MARGAROSANITE

 Pearly margarosanite on a slip on a block of

 unidentified mineral with andradite, hendricksite.

 The unidentified matrix mineral fluoresces a

 moderately strong orange (pectolite or apatite?).

 Native lead also? The margarosanite occurs in

 small slips and veins throughout this piece.

 PECTOLITE, PREHNITE,

 MARGAROSANITE

 Franklin, Sussex County, NJ, USA

 Sugary textured mix of pectolite, prehnite, and

 margarosanite in andradite and hendricksite. A

 classic Franklin fluorescent.

                           6.2 cm
