 RHODONITE, MANGANAXINITE,

 WILLEMITE

Secondary crystallized rhodonite in a vein in

 franklinite, willemite ore containing chisel

 shaped pink rhodonite crystals, yellow

 manganaxinite plates, and clear willemite

appears to be the assemblage cited by Dunn in his discussion on occurrences of marsturite. There does NOT appear

to be marsturite on this specimen. (Lee Areson LA729)

Mineral Specimens - Bustamite, Hardystonite, Clinohedrite, Franklin, NJ

Massive pink bustamite with hardystonite and clinohedrite. These

short ultraviolet photos are somewhat overexposed. The specimen

is not as vivid in real life. Even so, it is impressive and this material

is hard to find. The hardystonite is unusually bright. On top of

that, this bustamite has a tugtupite look under long-wave

 ultraviolet.

 Specimen size - approx 15.5 cm. X 8.5 cm. X 7 cm.
