on and embedded in bementite, serpentine.
An old find from the 1800's in one of the
earlier workings at Franklin, the Trotter
Mine.

Massive, gemmy, green willemite. Bright green
fluorescence under short wave ultraviolet light.

A vein of radiating white willemite, partially
replaced by brown serpentine, in dolomit-
ized franklinite ore. This willemite is very
phosphorescent.

Red zincite band in willemite, calcite ore with minor iridescent franklinite. A good example of the unique Franklin ore.

Sterling Mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, NJ, USA
Slickenslided willemite veins in what appears to be a
manganoan dolomite (kutnohorite(?)), judging by the
pink color and curved cleavage. The willemite is
phophorescent.
Specimen size - approx. 13.75 cm X 10 cm X 8.75 cm.
Under short wave UV (willemite-green).
