  Polished faces of an end-cut Esquel pallasite

   showing olivine crystal sections in the iron

   groundmass.  This meteorite is one of the

   more stable pallasites. A departure from the

   slices normally seen.

   although the fall was witnessed by several

   people in February, or March or April, in

   1879. An unweathered whole stone from

   the fall.
